Overview

Exciting Leadership Opportunity within the Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) organization!

This position is for the Sr Engineering Manager leading the Military TXD(MILICAS) team, reporting to the Sr. Director of the CNS Product line. This leadership position spearheads leadership effectiveness, enhancing competitive intelligence, operational excellence, and employee experience within the Electronic Systems CNS organization, enabling a world-class global planning and execution MOS across a vast portfolio of traffic products with systems, software, and hardware content.

You will partner with world class engineering and business leaders to implement product strategies, define technology roadmaps, develop program schedules and milestones, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Develop the Burning Platform, spearhead employee engagement, lead project execution, Gold Business Enterprise strategy partnership, and product line operations
  • Productivity innovations leader, enabling coordination across internal ES organizations and stakeholders
  • Spearhead the CNS NPD transformation for speed and 50% cycle time/cost acceleration innovations global deployment, and deploy Agile methodologies
  • Drive speed and affordability for all NPIs programs
  • Meet HMR, EAC, UPC and ensure flawless launch and product ownership from AT TRL 4-6 through IPDS Phase C and in-service support
  • TRR/MRR/GSF planning and execution
  • Build a world-class Systems, Software, and Hardware workforce that creates competitive advantage by recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent
Qualifications

US PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 8 plus years of experience in the aerospace industry, managing diverse global teams
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

WE VALUE

  • Master of Engineering or Business Administration preferred
  • Experience working with Defense Customers preferred
  • Experience leading engineering teams with software/systems/and hardware teams preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership experience including: driving teams to common goals, empowering teams, managing complex technical issues
  • Ability to create, support and enhance specific action plans
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done
  • Ability to convey subtle or complex messages succinctly and clearly, tailored for the topic and audience
  • Demonstrated communication, relationship and team building skills
  • Action oriented:
    Works hard, full of energy; not fearful of acting with best data even if incomplete
  • Dealing with ambiguity:
    Can effectively cope with change; decide and act without having the total picture
  • Business acumen:
    Knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application within the industry
  • Command skills:
    Rapidly assesses situation and decides on corrective action response
