The Production Drafter is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans that support manufacturing and production processes. This role involves translating design concepts into precise, production-ready documentation using CAD and BIM software, ensuring accuracy, compliance with specifications, and efficiency in execution.

- Develop detailed drawings, schematics, and blueprints for production based on provided designs and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to incorporate changes, resolve discrepancies, and ensure drawings meet production requirements.
- Use computer-assisted drafting (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, Revit, or similar tools to create layouts, including dimensions, materials, and assembly instructions.
- Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry standards.
- Calculate material requirements, equipment needs, and production methods to support efficient manufacturing.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and related documentation.
- Assist in site assessments or project reviews as needed to inform drafting work.
- Associate's degree or certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD and BIM software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, Revit, or similar tools.
- 2-5 years of experience in drafting, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail, mathematical skills, and understanding of technical specifications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and materials relevant to production processes.
