Ameresco is seeking a motivated
** Air Quality Permitting Specialist
** to join our environmental department based in
** Phoenix, Arizona**. We are seeking candidates with a good foundation in air quality regulations and permitting, who are ready to contribute to complex projects involving regulatory compliance, impact analyses, and reporting.
** Responsibilities:
*** Prepare and submit air permit applications and compliance reports to local, state, and federal agencies.
* Serve as a technical resource on air quality permitting and compliance programs under NSR, PSD, Title V, state, and local regulations.
* Conduct air quality impact analyses, health risk assessments, and greenhouse gas analyses.
* Interpret and apply regulatory requirements under district regulatory programs, the federal Clean Air Act, and greenhouse gas regulations.
* Manage project budgets, scope, and schedule.
* Support environmental review processes under NEPA and CEQA.
* Familiar with modeling tools and software including CalEEMod, EMFAC, OFFROAD, CALINE4, AERMOD, CAL3
QHCR, ISCST3, AERSCREEN, SCREEN3, and GIS.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with air quality standards and project objectives.
* Other duties as assigned.

* Minimum Qualifications:
*** Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
* Minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in air quality compliance, permitting, and regulatory programs.
*
* Additional Qualifications:
*** Familiarity with local, state, and federal air quality rules and regulations.
* Proficiency in air quality modeling tools and regulatory analysis methodologies.
* Strong technical writing and communication skills.
* Preferred:
