Pay Rate: $27/hr
Location: Phoenix, AZ
The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation across health and safety disciplines, along with a genuine passion for creating and maintaining a safe work environment. This role requires the ability to understand the big picture while maintaining close attention to detail. Success in this position involves working collaboratively within a team to develop practical, effective, and safe solutions that support both personnel and business objectives.
KeyResponsibilities
Promote a culture of safety and accountability by ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards
Conduct routine workplace safety inspections within a semiconductor manufacturing environment to identify and evaluate potential hazards
Accurately enter inspection data into designated computer systems on a daily basis
Coach cleanroom personnel on proper and safe work practices
Deliver site orientation training for new employees covering workplace safety procedures and protocols
Assist with incident investigations to help determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
Serve as a primary point of contact for safety-related questions or concerns within the cleanroom
Actively participate in and contribute to site safety committee meetings
Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, vendors, and coworkers
Demonstrate enthusiasm, motivation, and a strong commitment to providing outstanding service
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree in a science or safety-related field preferred
Prior safety experience and/or experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards
Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience working in cross-functional teams
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Share Point
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment while also working independently
Job duties are primarily performed in a cleanroom environment
Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity required
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 33 pounds
May require bending, stooping, crawling, climbing, and consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
