As an Advanced Software Engr, within our (NGA) Next-Generation Avionics group,

you will impact the design, architecture and deployment of cutting-edge Flight Display Systems. As a Flagship product, the Honeywell Anthem Flight Deck System is not just another avionics product; it is a visionary endeavor that employs cutting-edge technologies to redefine how pilots interact with flight information and aircraft systems.

In this role, you will impact on the development and advancement of cutting-edge Avionics Flight Display Systems that is shaping the future of Avionics technology. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of software modules, deliver innovative features, implement functionalities and contribute to the overall advancement of technology. Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a passionate team of engineers and designers to create and implement forward-thinking software solutions for the Anthem Flight Display Systems.
  • Design, develop and implement advanced software solutions for Avionics Display systems, applications and services, ensuring high performance, reliability, and functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design software architectures, and implement software modules.
  • Leverage your expertise in software engineering to support innovation for next-generation and new product offerings/iterations.
  • Software architecture and coding
  • Develop and execute test plans, ensuring software meets all functional and performance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Integration / Certification / Feature Definition / Verification and Validation
  • Stay curious and engaged with the latest advancements in avionics technology and software engineering practices.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in embedded software engineering (at the Engr III level) and at least 6-7 years (at the Engr IV level).
  • Proficiency in C/C++ embedded software development.
WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Understanding various software development life cycles, methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ Python, Open GL, etc.
  • Experience developing software in a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS).
  • Experience with Avionics products is of a PLUS i.e. Displays & Graphics, Flight Mgmt, Flight Planning, Flight Controls, Flight Displays (PFD), Traffic Collision Avoidance (TCAS), Crew Alert Messaging (CAS), Terrain, Radios, etc.
