In the role of Senior Structural Engineer – Buildings, we’ll rely on you to:
- Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in structural engineering on projects; resolve complex problems of greater scope and complexity.
- Plan and develop projects or design activities.
- Plan, organize, and supervise the work of medium‑to‑large teams of professionals and technicians.
- Act as Project Manager on larger projects, although project management is not the sole focus of this position.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or in Architectural Engineering with Structural Emphasis.
- Experience with Revit and Navisworks.
- Experience writing proposals.
- Knowledge of ACI 350, AWWA D100, and API 650.
- Previous experience with structural investigations and rehabilitation design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience related to building design.
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, or similar analytical software.
- Experience in design calculations and layouts.
- Ability to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
- Understanding of gravity analysis and lateral analysis.
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
