Your new role
As our new Lead Consultant, Due Diligence & Site Solutions, you will support a wide range of environmental consulting projects involving mergers and acquisitions, environmental compliance, site investigation, and remediation. You will conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and limited environmental compliance reviews for industrial and commercial facilities, while also contributing to field investigation programs, evaluation of environmental data, and development of remedial or closure strategies.
Based in Phoenix, you will help clients navigate environmental challenges across Arizona and the broader Southwest, where technical rigor, sound judgment, and practical solutions are essential. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple practice areas and build experience in both transaction‑related advisory work and technical site solutions.
Your key responsibilities will be
- Conduct environmental due diligence and compliance reviews (e.g., Phase I ESAs) to support transactions, including records research, site visits, interviews, and ASTM‑ or client‑aligned reporting.
- Support site investigations by developing scopes, coordinating fieldwork, collecting environmental samples (soil, groundwater, vapor, sediment, and surface/surface water), and interpreting analytical results.
- Evaluate environmental data to define nature and extent, support fate and transport assessments, and inform remedial decision‑making and site closure strategies.
- Provide environmental compliance support (hazardous waste, wastewater/stormwater, air, spill prevention, and chemical management), including permits/transfers, reporting, and preparation of plans and technical memoranda.
- Prepare high‑quality client deliverables, cost estimates, and proposals; coordinate with clients, regulators, subcontractors, and internal teams to execute projects and communicate findings; and travel for site visits/field assignments as needed.
About You
- B.S. in a relevant engineering or science discipline (e.g., civil, environmental, chemical, geology, environmental science, chemistry, biology); advanced degree a plus.
- 4+ years of environmental consulting experience, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, environmental compliance reviews, and/or site investigation and remediation support.
- Ability to perform site visits; review technical and regulatory information; evaluate environmental conditions; and produce clear, concise, technically sound deliverables.
- Experience with environmental sampling/fieldwork and willingness to perform outdoor work and physical activities; OSHA HAZWOPER 40‑hour certification preferred (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).
