We are continually seeking motivated and innovative individuals for Geologist and Hydrogeologist positions, working within 50 miles of the local Phoenix, AZ office.
The successful candidate will apply their knowledge and experience to develop cost-effective solutions for a variety of projects, including but not limited to water resources, remediation, wetland and ecological, mining, waste management, and more. Typical duties for this position include, but aren’t limited to, oversight of field sampling, procedures, and investigations, supporting the development of quality assurance project plans, field sampling plans, health and safety plans, and other project documents to support field data collection efforts, for monitoring and assessment, and more.

Essential Job Functions- This position will have field and non-field related responsibilities. Field work and travel may include occasional nights and weekends.
- Assist Senior and Principal Managers with writing proposals, financial tracking, invoicing, draft cost estimates, and project budgets (as needed).
- Provide oversight on a range of projects.
- Field work planning, preparation, site audits, collection and proper documentation of samples, drilling and monitoring well installation, remedial system permitting, design, fabrication, and operation/maintenance.
- Technical report writing, compliance data review and documentation, and proposal preparation.
- Data entry in MS Excel spreadsheets, Access databases, desktop research, and documentation of field activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, environmental scientists, project managers, etc. to address challenges and deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
- BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field required.
- 2 – 6+ years of experience in environmental services / consulting.
- Knowledge of environmental services including investigations, assessments, sampling methods, etc.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn about local, state, and federal programs, permits, and regulations related to water quality, stream permitting, etc.
- Ability to take thorough notes and preparation of data reports.
- Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts and principles.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite including MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to travel and perform field work (75% or more of field work required).
- A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
- Advanced degrees preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, or ArcGIS is desirable.
- OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
- Ability to travel and perform field work (75% or more of field work required).
- Have full range of motion to support field activities.
