Lead hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design for roadway drainage systems, including storm drain networks, culverts, inlets, gutter flow, spread analysis, and hydraulic grade line (HGL) evaluations along transportation corridors.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead engineer or discipline lead for mid- to large-scale water resources and stormwater infrastructure projects.
  • Direct preparation and delivery of construction packages, including design drawings, specifications, cost estimates, alternatives analyses, technical memoranda, and design reports.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering projects with a focus on stormwater management systems.
  • Perform and oversee hydrologic and hydraulic analyses specifically for roadway and highway drainage, including culvert sizing, storm drain system design, cross-drainage structures, and floodplain impacts at roadway crossings.
  • Lead conceptual and final design of roadway drainage infrastructure including culverts, storm drain systems, detention facilities, channels, and erosion control measures integrated with roadway profiles and grading plans.
  • Prepare roadway drainage plans, profiles, and details in coordination with roadway design teams using Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with DOT, county, and municipal drainage criteria.
