Civil professionals contribute to site development efforts,including grading and drainage, erosion control, roadways,fencing, and underground utilities.

The Virtual Design & Data Solutions (VDDS) Senior Civil Engineering Technician serves in a lead technical role supporting the development ofhigh qualitycivil engineering deliverables for complex infrastructure projects. This position applies advanced civil engineering knowledge to the creation and modification of site development plans, grading designs, and utility layouts using industry standard tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D. The Senior Technicianprovidestechnical guidance, consultation, and training to technicians and engineering staff, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to design standards.

Thisrole may coordinate and oversee assigned technicians, supporting both conceptual and detailed design activities to deliver efficient,accurate, and mission aligned civil solutions.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

+ Functions as a senior engineering technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisor

+ Applies advanced technicalexpertiseto solve complex design challenges within a specific engineering discipline

+ Contributes to the development of innovative engineering solutions

+ Uses digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) with standardized procedures to create,modify, andmaintaintechnical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables

+ Provides consultation, training, and oversight to other engineering technicians to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with project standards

+ Exercises sound judgment in interpreting inputs and making deliverable-related decisions

+ Handles complex technical assignments and provides guidance to other professionals

+ Performs design calculations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, and documentation

+ May review deliverables produced by others for quality and accuracy

+ May coordinate presentations, production design, and use of electronic design tools

+ Maymonitorproduction to ensure consistency, budget, and schedule

+ May program control systems or support plant start-up activities within area of expertise

+ Coordinates with other design groups to exchange information for design development
