MOOG Space and Defense GroupMoog Space and Defense Group is a proven provider of high performance and reliable space‑rated avionics hardware and software. Products include control and data handling, power distribution, payload interface cards, mass memory, GPS receivers, motor and actuation drivers and controllers, and onboard computing. Moog has partnered with NASA to provide electronic solutions for the Artemis Orion Crew Capsule, Viper Lunar Rover, Satellite Laser Communications Relay, OSIRIS‑REX to study asteroid composition along with complete satellite buses for the defense department.
Key Responsibilities- Design Analog and high-speed digital circuits, including schematic capture and PCB layout specifications.
- Collaborate across disciplines to define product requirements and deliver technical presentations.
- Leverage modeling programs and tools to simulate circuits and interfaces and reduce design risks.
- Document designs, analyses, and results with clear, concise reports.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Deep understanding of the basic principles of electrical / electronic engineering design – having worked with processors, digital logic, analog circuits, and basic power circuits.
- Knowledge of board design (interface requirements), schematic creation, and digital simulation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to produce technical documentation.
- Experience with lab instrumentation (DMM, Oscilloscope, …) to perform troubleshooting (hands‑on), board bring‑up, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration.
- Problem solving skills.
- Organization skills.
- Experience with Schematic Capture / Creation tools & PCB Layout Tools.
- Knowledge of Space grade electronics design and development.
- Experience with VHDL/Verilog coding for space applications.
- Experience with Signal Integrity analysis tools, PSPice, Mathcad and other essential design tools.
Phoenix, AZ $75,000.00–$ Annually
Salary Range DisclaimerThe base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region‑specific benefits.
