Proper Sys is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience on construction sites and is a strong communicator and has experience in risk/safety assessment, regulatory compliance, and environmental awareness, and can quickly identify any potential safety concerns on the construction site. This position requires the candidate to regularly plan and execute safety inspections, develop safety programs for both our employees and sub-contractors and participate in ongoing risk/safety assessments of our facilities on the construction site.

What You'll Do:
- Directs and administers specific functions of the EHS program at the company or project level; (warehouses, offices, and construction site)
- Creates, evaluates, educates, and administers the EHS program for all levels of employees.
- Conducts surveys, evaluations, inspections, and investigations of incidents and activities without supervision.
- Gathers information and correlates data.
- Able to perform all aspects of EHS training.
- Ability to run multi-projects on one site.
- Refines working knowledge of EHS programs by applying EHS procedures, including but not limited to creating and/or revising safety policies.
- Direct and supervise the activities of subordinates.
- Participates in monitoring and controlling EHS standards.
- Prepares, maintains, and retrieves records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate or regulatory requirements, including monitoring application of EHS standards.
- Promotes EHS awareness and fosters this awareness throughout the company, project, warehouse, or office.
- Promotes the IFE Culture between clients, co-workers, and subcontractors.
- Supports all IFE Committee Initiatives on-site.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Holder of an OSHA 30-hour certificate. (OSHA 500 is a plus)
- Good Computer knowledge and efficiency, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Excel
- Great understanding of construction and building facility.
- Excellent understanding of Pre-Task Planning and Job Hazard Analysis.
- Excellent understanding, as well as develop and administer the ISO 14001/OHSAS 45001 management system.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Mandarin is a plus)
- Recommendation to be bilingual in Spanish, but not required for employment.

- At least 3 plus years of experience in the construction field or in a related area.
- Bachelor’s degree in safety or a similar field is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Required to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Required to walk up and down several flights of steps.
- Required to spend periods of time outside in a natural environment.
- Occasionally lift up to 50lbs independently.
