Bridge Engineer

Wilson & Company is seeking a full‑time bridge (structures) engineer to support our bridge team in the Phoenix Office.

• Design and detail railroad and highway structures, including reinforced concrete, pre‑stressed concrete, steel, earth‑retaining systems, and drainage structures.
• Perform complex engineering tasks accurately, including extracting engineering information from CAD drawings.
• Develop drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction.
• Lead the structural design of projects and mentor entry‑level staff in the design and production of construction drawings.
• Communicate effectively with entry‑level staff, provide reports and updates to senior staff and clients, and collaborate with other offices and Structure Bridge groups.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team environment across multiple locations and be available to meet with clients and pursue work.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus) from an ABET‑accredited school.
• 7+ years of experience in structural engineering design, including bridge, retaining wall, and other transportation structures (ideally 10+ years).
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the state or the ability to obtain the license within six months.
• Experience in plan development, analysis, and design calculations, quality control of highway or railroad structures, and familiarity with AASHTO and/or AREMA.
• Proficiency with engineering software such as Leap Bridge Concrete, MDX, MIDAS, Risa, Lpile, Mathcad, and related tools.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in both office and field settings.

• Annual Salary Range: $102,000 – $135,000, depending on experience.
