Job Overview
Quality Engineer – Onsite, Phoenix, AZ. Requires U.S. Person status. No security clearance required.
Responsibilities- Support internal audits to ensure compliance with internal standards, industry regulations, and certifications.
- Serve as a Preliminary Review (PR) member, ensuring timely disposition, correction, and closure of nonconforming materials.
- Perform data analysis and reporting to monitor product quality and identify trends or areas for improvement to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
- Support Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts to address quality issues.
- Plan and oversee First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Support activities related to the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- Typical requirement: a STEM degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree in a related field).
- Quality or related engineering experience within a manufacturing industry.
- Working knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001/AS 9100 quality systems.
- Working knowledge of engineering specifications and drawings.
- Experience with root cause corrective actions and investigations.
- Six Sigma and/or ASQ CQE/CQM certification.
- Experience working in military or aerospace quality systems.
- Experience working directly with customers and suppliers.
