Quality Engineer; Onsite

Job Overview

Quality Engineer – Onsite, Phoenix, AZ. Requires U.S. Person status. No security clearance required.

• Support internal audits to ensure compliance with internal standards, industry regulations, and certifications.
• Serve as a Preliminary Review (PR) member, ensuring timely disposition, correction, and closure of nonconforming materials.
• Perform data analysis and reporting to monitor product quality and identify trends or areas for improvement to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
• Support Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts to address quality issues.
• Plan and oversee First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Support activities related to the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).

• Typical requirement: a STEM degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree in a related field).
• Quality or related engineering experience within a manufacturing industry.
• Working knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001/AS 9100 quality systems.
• Working knowledge of engineering specifications and drawings.
• Experience with root cause corrective actions and investigations.

• Six Sigma and/or ASQ CQE/CQM certification.
• Experience working in military or aerospace quality systems.
• Experience working directly with customers and suppliers.
