Job Purpose
Cleanpart US is looking for a dedicated EHS Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining environmental compliance, supporting chemical processes, and ensuring our facility operates safely and efficiently.
This position reports directly to the EHS Specialist and works closely with operations, maintenance, and procurement teams.
Principal Accountabilities
What You'll Do
You'll be responsible for the safe and compliant handling of industrial wastewater, chemicals, and waste materials. Your day-to-day work will include:
- Following all Cleanpart US safety and quality policies.
- Handling, storing, labeling, and documenting process chemicals and waste in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Classifying waste streams, conducting sampling, and ensuring proper disposal.
- Maintaining accurate records of chemical use, waste disposal, and discharge activities.
- Preparing and submitting required reports to regulatory agencies.
- Inspecting chemical and waste storage areas and equipment.
- Partnering with Chemline Technicians to verify chemical process tanks and perform titration analysis.
- Coordinating with procurement to maintain adequate wastewater treatment chemical inventory.
- Assisting the maintenance technician with general facility maintenance when needed.
- Supporting a clean, safe, and organized work environment using 5S principles.
- Reporting and helping investigate safety incidents or equipment issues.
- Identifying and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Performing other duties as needed to support the facility.
We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-minded, and ready to take initiative. The ideal candidate has:
- Working knowledge of EPA, RCRA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to follow procedures, manage multiple tasks, and produce accurate results.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Basic math skills and a foundational understanding of chemistry.
- Ability to learn and operate facility equipment.
Education & Experience
- Related technical or military experience, or equivalent.
- RCRA certification (or ability to maintain certification).
- At least 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
This role involves hands-on work in an industrial environment. You should be comfortable with:
- Standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting (up to 25 lbs regularly; up to 50 lbs occasionally).
- Using tools, equipment controls, and handling materials safely.
- Wearing required PPE, including respirators (must pass a fit test).
- Working around chemicals, airborne particles, vibration, and elevated noise levels.
- Spending significant time outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Entering confined spaces when required.
- The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $68,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.…
