Structural Engineer 2 (2026 New Graduates!)
Job DescriptionUnder direct supervision, performs structural analyses and designs for reinforced concrete, structural steel, reinforced masonry, and other metal structures of basic complexity to meet client project requirements. Assists in the development of models, drawings, and specifications. Reviews draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Coordinates designs with other engineering disciplines. Applies firm policies and practices on all designs.
Assists in structural condition assessment and confined space entries. Contributes to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc. Submits technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals. Performs other duties as required. May create or work with a team to create a poster or other presentation material for a conference.
- Perform structural analyses and designs for reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry structures of basic complexity.

- Contribute to technical knowledge base by developing white papers, studies, and technical documentation.

- Provide additional duties as required.
- Collaborate to create presentation materials for conferences.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
- 1 year of related experience, or equivalent directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency contingent on duties.
- Intermediate knowledge of computer‑assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
- Knowledge of engineering principles of design.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of engineering analysis/design software (e.g., Revit, STAAD, RISA).
