As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and implement advanced systems solutions that drive innovation and efficiency within the aerospace industry. You will work on cutting‑edge projects that enhance the safety, performance, and reliability of aerospace technologies, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver state‑of‑the‑art solutions.
You will report directly to our Senior Systems Engineering Manager and will work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the advancement of aerospace systems by ensuring robust system design, integration, and performance that meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
Responsibilities- Requirements analysis, authoring various systems artifacts, and participating in systems development activities and analysis for aircraft sub‑systems.
- Supporting the design and development of advanced aerospace systems, including hardware, software, and network components.
- Providing successful execution of complex engineering projects, ensuring system integration and performance.
- Leading the deployment and configuration of systems, ensuring they are installed correctly, tested rigorously, and perform optimally.
- Providing technical leadership in identifying and resolving system issues, minimizing downtime, and ensuring systems remain operational.
- Identifying opportunities for process and system improvements, implementing enhancements, and contributing to the optimization of operations.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- Six or more years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on aerospace or related industries.
- Knowledge of aerospace standards and familiarity with DO178B/C.
- Knowledge of systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting in complex environments.
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Experience leading complex aerospace system integration projects.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging aerospace technologies.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
- Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
