Summary
We are searching for an Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems in a cleanroom environment, ensuring compliance with semiconductor production regulations and standards. Experience in electrical construction is highly desired.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform requirements classification of clients, communicating project requirements and design review with internal & external design team for electrical system.
- Perform the required scope of work and clarify specification with stakeholders.
- Assist procurement team on electrical systems equipment & materials and assist in contractors’ awards.
- Understand isometrics, P& CAD drawings specifically for electrical systems.
- Review, approve and oversee the installation of electrical systems.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms with specifications and assure adherence to construction schedules.
- Review progress reports, materials used and costs, contract payment application, and adjust work schedules as indicated by the reports.
- Review & reply RFI (Request for information) and change orders.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal use and client communication.
- Identify and solve problems.
- Scheduling and schedule execution.
- Understand drawing and review specifications and estimation.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 0-5 years of experience electrical system planning.
- Construction experience preferred. Semiconductor construction, a plus.
- Strong understanding of high and low voltage power, lighting sockets, fire protection power, broadcasting, weak current, refuse direction indicator, grounding lightning protection system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to use engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or others.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail, and highly organized.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities depending on project needs. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and employees.
- Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with all levels of employees, clients, and subcontractors.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
- Ability to work in a construction site environment (trailer office).
- Effective English verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin/Taiwanese is a plus.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and employees.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Start-up experience.
- Verbal communication skills in Mandarin.
- Professional Engineer license.
- Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license. May be required to travel to other sites within Arizona to perform certain work functions. International travel may be required.
- Frequently stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift heavier items with assistance or mechanical equipment.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach to perform assigned tasks.
- Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, grasp, and operate tools, equipment, or materials.
- Perform repetitive motions involving the hands, wrists, and arms.
- Climb ladders, stairs, or elevated surfaces as required by the job.
