Principal Systems Engineer

Our client, a leading aerospace and defense technology company, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Propulsion Engine Control Systems Group supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams, chief engineers, and project management organizations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, analytical problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $93/hr

• Lead requirements-based engineering activities including analysis, decomposition, validation, and verification
• Develop and manage propulsion engine control system requirements and component designs
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, including internal teams and external customers
• Support field issue troubleshooting, supplier oversight, and Agile program execution

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related STEM field
• Minimum of 10 years of professional engineering experience
• Strong background in propulsion control systems and requirements development
• Experience with gas turbine engines and control systems
• U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible under export regulations)
