Lead Environmental Engineering Technician
Location:
Phoenix, AZ (Deer Valley). This is an on-site position. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and work as part of the Aerospace business unit. Your role involves leading a team of technicians, providing technical expertise to ensure the smooth operation of engineering processes and systems within the aerospace domain.
- Lead a team of technicians and provide technical guidance and support.
- Be a part of a team of engineering technicians, providing technical guidance and support to ensure project success.
- Run environmental testing using thermal chambers, humidity chambers, vibration tables, according to DO-160 and MIL-STD-810, on aerospace products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve aerospace engineering processes and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain high quality and efficiency in engineering operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices within the team.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality test results aligned with project goals and aerospace industry standards.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Engineering Technician or a related role.
- Strong technical skills in mechanical systems and components.
- Experience leading a team of technicians.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 standards, other aerospace test standards, and associated equipment needed to test to the above standards such as thermal chambers, humidity chambers, vibration tables, HALT chambers, etc.
- A strong background in mechanical principles.
- Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
