Graduate Engineer, Structural - Water

Structural Engineer (Water Department) – Full‑time, College full time – Relocation eligible – Visa sponsorship not available.

As an entry‑level Structural Engineer (Water Department) you will help address critical infrastructure challenges and contribute to diverse, high‑impact projects. Selected candidates will work in Phoenix, AZ.

• Develop familiarity with departmental design guides, standards, systems, engineering codes and Black & Veatch policies and procedures.
• Understand and comply with the Black & Veatch quality program.
• Support continuous improvement and change management efforts.
• Prepare less complex engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications and studies.
• Conduct routine research and recommend equipment or material selections.
• Collect, assimilate and manage data for engineering work.
• Perform basic engineering calculations following standard methods.
• Adhere to budget, schedule and quality requirements.
• Share information with others as requested.
• Coordinate with others when directed by supervisor or project leadership.
• Focus on internal client needs while understanding external client interests.
• Provide support for business development or pursuit activities.
• Share knowledge of current technology and processes.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program in the applicant’s home country or the country where it is practiced. Applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search) in compliance with applicable laws.

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion, job performance and assignments.
