Project Engineer – Phoenix, AZ
Bel‑Aire Mechanical, a leading mechanical contractor serving the Southwest for more than four decades, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our on‑site team in Phoenix, AZ. This dynamic role focuses on large‑scale mechanical construction projects and supports major project execution from documentation to client engagement.
What You’ll Do- Assist in maintaining all project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, specification reviews, subcontracts, change orders, and corresponding logs.
- Help develop and update the project schedule, including labor projections, equipment lead times, fabrication delivery dates, and rentals.
- Support job cost control and billing needs as required.
- Participate in site safety planning, including hazard analysis reviews, pre‑task planning, jobsite walks, and toolbox talks.
- Assist with QA/QC requirements as needed.
- Coordinate BIM/CADD activities and integration into the field.
- Engage in customer relations, subcontractor management, and procurement activities.
- Perform additional job‑related duties as deemed necessary by the Project Manager.
- A degree in Construction Management and 3–5 years of construction experience, or 10+ years of increasing responsibility in mechanical construction (in lieu of a degree).
- Strong interpersonal skills, interfacing with owners, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Advanced technical skills: proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and other Office tools.
