This is an opportunity to join a high-performing technical team focused on operational reliability, continuous improvement, and safe production practices.

The Opportunity

This role will play a critical part in improving equipment availability, reducing downtime, and enhancing operational performance through world-class reliability engineering practices. Working closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams, you will lead initiatives that improve asset health, optimise maintenance strategies, and support long-term operational success.

Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are available, with periodic engagement at operational and corporate locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify equipment and process constraints and drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate reliability bottlenecks.
  • Improve equipment performance and availability through the development and implementation of effective maintenance and reliability strategies.
  • Lead and facilitate root cause investigations into equipment failures and operational disruptions.
  • Apply reliability engineering principles to improve asset lifecycle performance and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Conduct equipment performance assessments and promote best practices in precision maintenance.
  • Develop, monitor, and improve key reliability and maintenance performance indicators.
  • Lead Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) initiatives and identify opportunities for preventive and predictive maintenance improvements.
  • Analyse CMMS and operational data to identify trends, performance gaps, and asset health indicators.
  • Promote safe, reliable operations by identifying risks and recommending engineering solutions to mitigate hazards.
  • Support ongoing reliability projects and technical improvement initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
About You
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience in reliability, maintenance, asset management, or industrial engineering environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret technical and operational data.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across technical and operational teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Desired Experience
  • Reliability and maintenance experience within mining, minerals processing, manufacturing, energy, or other heavy industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) principles.
  • Experience leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of predictive, preventive, and precision maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience with FMEA, asset performance reviews, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Proficiency with SAP or other Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Experience using business intelligence and data visualisation tools such as Power BI to support maintenance decision-making.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
What’s On Offer
  • Highly competitive remuneration package with performance-related incentives.
  • Flexible and hybrid working options.
  • Exposure to large-scale industrial operations and complex reliability challenges.
  • Strong career development and progression opportunities.
  • Collaborative environment that values innovation, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
