Application Engineer - Phoenix Metro Area

Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented Application Engineer to support engineers and scientists designing aerospace, defense and commercial solutions. The role involves demonstrating products, providing training, delivering technical support, and working collaboratively with sales, marketing, and R&D teams.

• Provide technical support for RF and Microwave Test and Measurement instruments and applications.
• Work closely with a team of Application Engineers and regional Account Managers to drive customer engagement and satisfaction.
• Develop and deliver technical seminars and customer training sessions in the Southwest Region.
• Support pre/post‑sales activities, including customer demonstrations, equipment start‑up, and training.
• Consult with customers involved in research, development and test of RF and Microwave products and systems.
• Provide technical feedback to product developers to influence product enhancements and future roadmaps.

• BSEE or equivalent degree.
• 7+ years of experience in RF and Microwave test, measurement or design.
• Experience with test equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power supplies and vector network analyzers.
• Experience in testing and evaluating RF & Microwave components, systems and materials.
• Knowledge of advanced RF & Microwave system requirements, techniques and industry trends.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer interfacing skills.
• Ability to travel 20%-30%, primarily within the Southwestern U.S., with occasional U.S. and international travel.
• Current U.S. resident with permanent valid work authorization.

Total compensation ranges from $115,000 to $190,000 and includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by position, geographic location and level.
