Job Summary
Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (OTF) Module Engineer – a central requisition for all OTF functional areas role is multifaceted and focuses on developing and sustaining manufacturable process modules in Intel’s high‑volume fabrication facility in Chandler, Arizona.
Responsibilities- Define roadmaps to meet requirements, goals and milestones for new technology processes.
- Establish flow, procedures and equipment configuration for the module.
- Select and develop materials and equipment to satisfy quality, yield, reliability, cost, productivity and manufacturability requirements.
- Plan and conduct experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle.
- Drive improvements in quality, yield, reliability, process stability, productivity and safety/ergonomics across variables such as material, method, equipment, environment and personnel.
- Develop solutions to problems using formal education, statistical knowledge and problem‑solving tools.
- Establish and sustain process control systems for the module during volume ramp.
- Develop strategies to resolve difficult problems and set up systems to handle similar issues in the future.
- Train production/receiving process engineers for transfer to other factories.
- Transfer process to high‑volume manufacturing and provide support for new factory start‑ups, including installation and qualification of new production lines.
- Support toolset needs on day or night shift as an OSE (on‑shift engineer) when required.
- Demonstrate teamwork, leadership, problem solving, prioritization and data‑driven decision making in a high‑performing team culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical or related STEM field with 8+ years of experience, ORMaster’s degree with 6+ years of experience, ORPhD with 2+ years of experience in the aforementioned fields.
- 3+ years of semiconductor engineering experience.
- 6+ months of foundry experience.
- 6+ months of experience supporting high‑volume manufacturing ramps and technology transfers.
- Previous experience working in a semiconductor factory as a technician or engineer before an engineering role.
- Experience with statistics and experimental design applied to tool matching, qualification and process development.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
