The Global Construction Engineering (GCE) organization at Intel is responsible for the design and engineering of Intel’s major manufacturing and cleanroom facilities worldwide. Our team consists of highly specialized, in‑house architects and engineers who collaborate closely with factory, operations, and supply chain partners to deliver technically complex construction programs that demand precision, speed, and disciplined cost management. We are expanding our team to support the acceleration of Intel Foundry’s manufacturing roadmap and are looking for world‑class technical talent who thrive in a fast‑paced environment and are motivated by opportunities to innovate and make meaningful business impact.

This hybrid position is located at the Chandler campus in Chandler, Arizona, with possible training assignments at other domestic or international locations.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the feasibility of new facilities improvement projects.
  • Develop the facilities scope through field walks and collaboration with facilities operations partners and other project engineers.
  • Serve as the Owner's representative to provide technical guidance and issue resolution to supply chain partners performing detailed design and construction.
  • Interface and coordinate with contract design, construction, scheduling, and estimating resources.
  • Interface with facilities staff and project managers to enable facility design efforts for their area of expertise.
  • Define design criteria, lead scope definition and justification, develop design concepts, and oversee completion of positioning, programming, and detailed design.
  • Collaborate with estimators to ensure costs are captured and project budgets are met.
  • Apply Intel’s master specifications and standards, using the change management process to improve standards and drive innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate and share learnings with counterparts at other sites across the globe.
  • Recommend engineering solutions to senior management as the technical scope expert.
  • Build and drive a safety culture of caring throughout the project lifecycle, from front‑end planning to construction execution.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of experience in design and construction of Mechanical and/or Process Mechanical systems, or
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience in design and construction of Mechanical and/or Process Mechanical systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience on industrial, semiconductor, or cleanroom projects.
  • Knowledge of building and fire codes and hazardous occupancy design.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Pipeflo, Revit, Navisworks, BIM
    360, and other 2D/3D modeling tools.
  • Professional Engineer registration.
  • Understanding of control methods for mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with ANSI, SMACNA, and other building code standards.

Annual Salary Range (US): $ – $ USD. Salary is determined by location, experience, and education.

Work Model: Eligible for a hybrid working arrangement, allowing employees to split time between on‑site at the Chandler campus and off‑site work.
