Position: Quality Engineer / Manufacturing

Quality Engineer Full-Time | Onsite Position Summary

We are seeking a hands‑on Quality Engineer to drive product reliability, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement within a high‑volume mechanical manufacturing environment. This role focuses on deep‑dived investigations of both field‑returned (RMA) units and in‑house failures, identifying failure modes, implementing corrective actions, and updating process documentation. The Quality Engineer will work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure strong product performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Failure Analysis & Technical Investigation
  • Perform autopsies on field‑returned units to determine root cause(s) of failure
  • Investigate internal failures from testing or end‑of‑line checks
  • Lead containment strategies, countermeasures, and corrective action initiatives
  • Support the design and implementation of fixtures, instrumentation, and test methods
Process Optimization & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Create and update SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation
  • Partner with engineering, production, and supply chain to resolve quality issues
  • Communicate findings, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives across departments
Data Analytics & Reporting
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Track and report the effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Use Excel and visualization tools to present quality performance to leadership

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Proficiency in Excel for calculations, data manipulation, and visualizations
  • Experience creating SOPs and managing quality documentation
  • Positive, team‑first attitude with willingness to learn and take on new challenges
