As we continue to grow and take on new projects, we are expanding our team and looking for a skilled Plumbing Designer to support our ongoing project work.
About the RoleThis is a full-time, on-site role based in Phoenix, AZ.
As a Plumbing Designer, you will play a key role in designing and developing plumbing systems for commercial building projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers and project teams to produce accurate, high-quality construction documents and coordinated system designs.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on design work, working across disciplines, and contributing to projects from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, and storm systems
- Prepare construction drawings and detailed layouts using AutoCAD and Revit
- Perform basic system calculations and support equipment sizing and selection
- Coordinate with mechanical (HVAC), electrical, and architectural teams to ensure integrated designs
- Review and revise drawings based on project needs, feedback, and field conditions
- Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and project specifications
- Support project teams in meeting deadlines and deliverables
- 5+ years of experience in plumbing design or MEP/building systems design
- Experience preparing construction documents and working on commercial building projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM experience strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and design standards
- Experience coordinating with HVAC/mechanical systems is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience working in an MEP consulting or engineering firm
- Exposure to a variety of project types (commercial, mixed-use, industrial, etc.)
- Experience working across multiple phases of design and construction
