The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly motivated Takeoff Engineer to support the estimating team on major Heavy Civil projects throughout Arizona and the Southwest. This role is responsible for performing detailed quantity takeoffs, earthwork modeling, underground utility calculations, and preconstruction support activities that drive accurate and competitive bids. This position serves as a natural career path toward Dirt Estimating.

- 2–7+ years of Heavy Civil construction, estimating, or preconstruction experience
- Experience reading and interpreting civil plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Strong quantity takeoff experience involving earthwork, grading, paving, or underground utilities
- Bluebeam proficiency
- Experience with AGTEK software preferred
- Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid preferred
- Knowledge of earthwork modeling, cut/fill calculations, and trench quantity calculations preferred
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, grading, paving, and underground utility projects
- Utilize AGTEK, Bluebeam, and related software to develop accurate quantity calculations and project models
- Develop cut/fill quantities, trench calculations, and material quantity reports
- Support Dirt Estimators and Preconstruction teams during bid preparation and estimate development
- Coordinate with estimating, operations, and project management teams
