Overview

Project Engineer position with Ryan Companies US, Inc. on the National Mission Critical team. The role assists the project team in the completion of designated projects while learning company processes, procedures, and business policies.

Responsibilities
  • Help generate Requests For Information (RFIs) and track approvals.
  • Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and shop drawing coordination.
  • Learn project dimensional control requirements and field verify dimensions to support the shop drawing approval process.
  • Assist in the coordination and tracking of vendor and subcontractor deliveries.
  • Learn company safety policies and procedures.
  • Gain an understanding of overall site logistics.
  • Participate in city and jurisdictional permit inspection processes.
  • Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.
  • Accompany company personnel and owner on punchlist inspections, record punchlist items, and monitor completion of punchlist work.
  • Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in commercial construction.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support projects.
  • General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems.
  • Experience with construction management software such as Procore.
  • Design-build commercial construction experience.
