Estimator – Underground Wet Utility
Location: Phoenix, AZ, US
Experience: Mid Level
Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 per year
Qualifications- Minimum of 5 years of construction experience in underground utilities (water, sewer, and storm) on private or public projects
- Thorough knowledge of the estimating process
- Knowledge of MAG Standard Specifications and Standard Details, as well as local supplements to MAG Specifications
- Excellent organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to work under stressful situations
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships
- Ability to prepare complex proposals with minimal supervision
- Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid, Planswift, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel
- Perform quantity estimates for underground utility projects (water, sewer, and storm)
- Complete take-offs per plans and specifications
- Create accurate take-offs from drawings using Planswift
- Request, compare, and summarize quotes from vendors
- Estimate production and crew sizes using HCSS Heavy Bid
