Role DescriptionA Civil Engineer will join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The role supports multiple sectors including mining, oil and gas, and rail. Responsibilities include development and planning of hydraulic modeling and calculations, erosion and sediment control evaluations, watershed and earthwork site design, permit and construction‑level drawings, design, permitting, proposal and report writing, and field engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and plan hydraulic modeling/calculations, erosion and sediment control evaluations and layout, watershed evaluations, and earthwork site design.
- Create permit/construction‑level drawings and details.
- Prepare technical specifications and report writing for civil and environmental permitting.
- Plan, design, and oversee industrial solid waste landfills, wastewater collection and treatment systems, impoundments, channels, levees, drainage systems, stormwater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, roads, and other civil/environmental infrastructure.
- Interface directly with clients and contractors to manage all aspects of project delivery.
- Support office‑based engineering work and assist in field construction and inspections.
- Travel up to 25% as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Registered Professional Engineer, willingness to obtain reciprocity in western states such as Colorado, Wyoming, and Arizona.
- 7+ years of related experience.
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior staff.
- Experience supporting mining, utilities, rail, or pipeline protection projects and coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Experience in land development such as site layout, stormwater management, grading, and erosion and sedimentation controls.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HydroCAD, WinTR-55, Pond Pack, HEC‑RAS).
- Understanding of land development, erosion and sediment controls, road design (Haul Roads and Forest Service Roads), river restoration, and stormwater permitting.

Salary Range: $87,912 – $146,520.
