Position Overview

GTI Fabrication is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager to lead and scale our safety and environmental programs across our operations, with a primary focus on our Phoenix, AZ location. This role is responsible for driving a proactive, best‑in‑class safety culture while ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements.

The EH&S Manager will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, HR, and Facilities to embed safety into daily execution, new product introduction (NPI), and overall plant performance. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing experience, a hands‑on leadership style, and a track record of building scalable EHS programs in fast‑paced, high‑mix environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, lead, and continuously improve GTI’s Environmental, Health & Safety programs
  • Drive a proactive safety culture focused on accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA (Federal and State plans), EPA, ADEQ, and all applicable local regulations
  • Maintain all required records, permits, SDS documentation, and regulatory reporting
  • Conduct routine facility inspections, safety audits, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and risk assessments
  • Identify risks and implement corrective actions to ensure safe working conditions
  • Lead incident response and investigations
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures to mitigate recurrence
  • Manage environmental programs including air quality, waste management, stormwater, hazardous materials, and emissions reporting
  • Deliver EHS training programs including onboarding, annual refreshers, and job‑specific training (LOTO, Haz Com, forklift, etc.)
  • Partner with Operations, HR, and Engineering to embed safety into daily workflows and new project planning
  • Collaborate with HR and Facilities on wellness programs, emergency preparedness, and return‑to‑work initiatives
  • Maintain EHS KPIs, dashboards, and metrics
  • Present trends, insights, and action plans to leadership
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections, audits, and external reporting requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of EH&S management experience in a manufacturing, energy, or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA (including Arizona State OSHA and New York requirements), EPA, and environmental regulations
  • Experience managing environmental reporting and compliance across multiple sites
  • Strong leadership, training, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to foster a culture of safety and accountability
Preferred Certifications
  • CSP, CHMM
  • OSHA 30/40
  • First Aid/CPR
  • RCRA, HAZWOPER
