Fire Protection Engineer

Job Overview

Fire Protection Engineer to work on our ongoing project at the Phoenix area TSMC facility. The role focuses on building code consulting, fire protection systems, and fire protection strategies. Responsibilities include building plan reviews, code interpretation, alternative solution development, report preparation, and coordination with design teams and authorities having jurisdiction.

• Perform fire and life safety code consulting tasks related to Group H‑5 semiconductor facilities.
• Assist with development of alternate methods of design and/or code modification submittals.
• Assist with hazardous materials consulting activities.
• Assist with fire and life safety system inspection and testing activities.
• Coordinate closely with design teams and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Contribute to complex, high‑impact project delivery.
• Five or more years of experience in code consulting and developing performance‑based strategies in a project design environment (preferred).
• Experience in developing building code concepts and equivalencies, conducting building plan reviews, and conducting field reviews/inspections.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies.
• Ability to work well independently and interact with other industry professionals, associated trades, and jurisdictional authorities.
