Unified Communications Deployment Engineer
Responsibilities include migrating all IP phones, Analog Gateways, and/or Voice Gateways routers at VoIP sites from on-Premises infrastructure to Cisco UCM Cloud, vetting test plans and conducting post-implementation tests to ensure all VoIP devices are working as expected, migrating legacy Non-VoIP sites to Cisco VoIP solution, deploying third party paging services, Informa Cast, TOA and Amplifier, collaborating with Telecom Billing and Provisioning team on Telecom Voice circuit requests, provisioning, and auditing activities, collaborating with UC Support team and Cisco team to resolve "Day 1" and/or other discovered issues, documenting VoIP related deployment information and conducting knowledge transfer to ensure the service properly transitions over to the operation team, and ensuring implementations of all business and technology solutions for VoIP are mitigated to have the lowest risk possible.
To ensure success as the UC Deployment Engineer, you should have in-depth knowledge in VoIP Deployment. You will collaborate with peers who have similar responsibilities for the entire corporate network to ensure consistent world class Unified Communications services for the enterprise.
We are looking to hire a highly competent and experienced Unified Communications Deployment Engineer professional to join Unified Communications Engineering Team. The seasoned UC engineer will be responsible in deploying and supporting a large-scale VoIP Implementation.
Required skills include 6+ years of in-depth experience in Cisco VoIP deployment and support of large-scale implementations of the following VoIP solutions:
Cisco Session Management Edition (SME), Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE), Cisco Emergency Responder (CER), Cisco Unified Attendant Console, Cisco IP Wired and Wireless Phones, Cisco Softphone Solution, Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST), in-depth knowledge of QoS for VoIP, Enterprise Dial-Plan, and SIP, SCCP, MGCP, PSTN trunks, FXO/FXS, and/or any Voice related technologies, working knowledge of Cisco Voice Portal (IVR), Unified Contact Center Enterprise (UCCE) including Intelligent Call Manager (ICM), Outbound Dialer, VXML Gateways, Cisco Unified SIP Proxy (CUSP), UC on UCS a plus, knowledge of networking, wireless, and security technologies a plus, hands-on experience working within VoIP Infrastructure testing, validation, and cutovers, and proficient in Microsoft Visio and creating network diagrams.
Additional required skills include strong analytical ability, judgement, and problem-solving skills, strong organizational, project management and troubleshooting skills with fine attention to detail, strong ability to understand client expectations and to resolve issues that may affect delivery, strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical proposals at the appropriate level of the intended audience, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization, strong ability to mentor, coach, and cross-train engineers, self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training with a strong aptitude for delivering quality products.
