Lead Propulsion Systems Engineer – Modeling & Simulation
Our client, a global leader in aerospace and propulsion systems, is seeking a Gas Turbine Performance & Operability Engineer to join their team. As a Gas Turbine Performance & Operability Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering / Performance & Operability Department supporting Aerospace New Product Introduction (NPI) and Advanced Engineering Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, technical leadership, and collaboration skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Location: Phoenix, AZ Pay Range: $70 - $80/hr
What's the Job?- Build, debug, refine, and maintain steady state and transient thermal models using NPSS (Numerical Propulsion System Simulation)
- Develop and support NPSS customer models for gas turbine engines
- Perform requirements analysis and decomposition throughout product development lifecycle (NPI)
- Generate technical reports and present findings to leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support engine definition, performance, and operability
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
- 7+ years of experience in gas turbine engine Performance & Operability modeling and analysis
- Extensive experience developing thermodynamic models using NPSS (preferred 5+ years)
- Strong background in steady state and transient modeling (combined experience 7+ years)
- U.S. Citizenship required
