Our Global Sales, Services & Spares IQ and Sustaining teams are seeking Engineers I & II, Field Service to join ASM at a customer site (TSMC) in North Valley, AZ. Domestic and international travel of at least 75% will be required for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair ASM semiconductor equipment at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot tool and process issues using diagnostic tools, schematics, and structured methods.
  • Deliver clear, timely, customer‑focused support with a safety‑first mindset.
  • Document work performed and support updates to service procedures.
  • Support process improvements and contribute ideas to enhance tool performance.
  • Assist with customer escalations and provide training and on-the‑job guidance to newcomers.
  • Analyze tool performance data to anticipate issues and propose targeted improvements.
  • Identify operational risks and recommend minor process or procedure enhancements.
  • Provide detailed field feedback to engineering and design teams and support beta testing.
  • Manage day‑to‑day customer engagements with a proactive, customer‑first approach.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional experts to drive resolution of escalated issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
  • 1–3 years of technical experience in field service or manufacturing of OEM capital equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic and electromechanical schematics.
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols and cleanroom guidelines.
  • Ability to apply rules and procedures in own activities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time domestically and internationally.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
Preferred Experience
  • Semiconductor field service or capital equipment experience.
  • Knowledge of wafer fab operations, robotics, vacuum systems, plasma, or gas handling.
  • Experience writing procedures or process documentation.
  • Strong customer‑service mindset and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with structured problem‑solving methods and root‑cause analysis.
  • Experience supporting escalations or beta‑stage tool activities.
  • Hands‑on semiconductor field service experience.
  • Experience providing field data to engineering or design teams.
