The City of Phoenix Water Services Department, one of the nation's largest potable water utilities, treats and delivers safe, reliable drinking water to 1.5 million customers across approximately 540 square miles. Phoenix Water Services also manages the sewer collection system and treats wastewater for 2.5 million residents in metropolitan Phoenix.
The Water Services Department's Wastewater Engineering Division is seeking a Project Coordinator. The division is looking for an individual with project management experience for the design and construction of new wastewater infrastructure and rehabilitation of existing facilities. The position will focus on design and construction management activities for lift stations and odor control facilities under the supervision of a professional engineer.
There is one position currently open in the Wastewater Engineering Division Remote Facilities Team, but the eligible list may be used for any current or future Water Services Project Coordinator positions over the life of the list, including vacancies in other Water Services Department divisions.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
* Knowledge of water and wastewater utility system design, operation and maintenance practices.

SALARY
Pay Range: $86,153.60 - $ annually.
Hiring Range: $86,153.60 - $ annually.

Please understand that this is pay grade 063. If selected, your salary offer will be based on the applicable promotion or demotion worksheet in accordance with the City Pay Ordinance.

* Lateral transfers occur when there is no change to the last two digits of the pay grade.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Five years of professional experience in a water and wastewater utility; including supervisory experience.
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a closely related field.
* Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
* All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.
* This position requires the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage.
