Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong construction experience and expertise in piping and water systems to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role will be responsible for leading mechanical engineering projects focused on water infrastructure, piping systems, and construction execution. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and supporting complex piping systems, coordinating with contractors and project teams, and providing technical solutions throughout the construction lifecycle.

Will provide relocation

• Lead mechanical engineering efforts for piping and water system projects from design through construction completion
• Design and develop piping systems, water distribution systems, and related mechanical infrastructure
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and construction documents
• Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, architects, owners, and internal project teams
• Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Perform site visits and field inspections to support construction progress and resolve technical issues
• Provide engineering solutions for field challenges and design modifications
• Coordinate project schedules, technical requirements, and construction activities
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and project specifications
• Support project teams through all phases of construction and installation

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience
• Must have commercial construction experience
• Experience designing piping systems, water systems, or mechanical infrastructure
• Strong understanding of construction processes and field coordination
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals
• Ability to communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and project stakeholders
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
