Overview

Marketech International Corporation USA is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator – Semiconductor Construction to support cost estimating, bid preparation, and proposal development for semiconductor, cleanroom, high-tech manufacturing, and mission-critical facility projects.

This role is responsible for reviewing project drawings and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, developing labor and material estimates, obtaining subcontractor and vendor pricing, identifying project risks, and preparing comprehensive cost proposals. The Estimator will help ensure bids are accurate, competitive, complete, and aligned with project requirements and company objectives.

The Estimator will work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Business Development, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives to develop estimates for mechanical, electrical, process utility, chemical, cleanroom, and facility infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has experience in construction estimating, cost analysis, bid preparation, quantity takeoffs, or project controls within semiconductor, industrial, commercial, cleanroom, or high-tech construction environments. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, technical-document review capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.

Key Responsibilities Cost Estimating & Quantity Takeoffs
  • Prepare detailed conceptual, preliminary, budgetary, and final construction cost estimates.
  • Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, statements of work, and other project requirements.
  • Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, subcontracted work, and other project costs.
  • Develop estimates for mechanical, electrical, process piping, chemical systems, facility utilities, cleanroom systems, and related construction scopes.
  • Calculate labor hours, crew requirements, production rates, material quantities, equipment needs, and project durations.
  • Develop pricing based on project drawings, specifications, historical cost data, vendor quotations, and field conditions.
  • Identify missing information, inconsistencies, scope gaps, and potential cost impacts within bid documents.
  • Prepare estimate summaries, pricing breakdowns, cost comparisons, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized estimating records, worksheets, assumptions, and backup documentation.
Bid & Proposal Development
  • Support the preparation of competitive bids, proposals, quotations, and cost presentations.
  • Develop detailed scopes of work, bid clarifications, exclusions, assumptions, qualifications, and pricing narratives.
  • Review bid requirements to ensure estimates include all required labor, materials, equipment, permits, testing, commissioning, supervision, and indirect costs.
  • Assist with bid schedules, milestone pricing, alternate pricing, unit rates, and value-engineering options.
  • Participate in bid reviews, estimate reconciliation meetings, proposal reviews, and final pricing discussions.
  • Coordinate with Business Development and Project Management teams to prepare client-ready proposal packages.
  • Support revisions and pricing updates throughout the bidding, negotiation, and contract-award process.
  • Maintain bid calendars and help ensure proposal deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and issue requests for quotations to subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment vendors.
