We are looking for Professional Licensed Electrical Engineers to join our team! This position requires a license, leadership, attention to detail and collaborative project engineering skills. You will develop designs for building and equipment power distribution systems, lighting, and controls, focusing on clean rooms and advanced laboratories. Semiconductor / microelectronics / laboratory industry required.
Roles and Responsibilities- Electrical system design for distribution and panel boards, transformers, 480/277 V, 208/120 V, and connections to substations to support new or existing facilities, UPS, and generators.
- Responsible for cleanroom and advanced laboratory design (e.g., imaging, additive manufacturing, photovoltaic) from programming through construction administration.
- Perform engineering calculations to ensure project requirements (clean class, temperature, quality, capacity) are met.
- Develop construction specifications and designs for facility equipment and process systems such as clean dry air, process vacuum, RODI water, process cooling water, acid waste neutralization, and exhaust systems.
- Design HVAC systems including chilled water, heating hot water, steam, and supply/exhaust air.
- Design building automation systems controls and instrumentation in conjunction with other disciplines.
- Prepare or modify drawings/BIM models in collaboration with the CAD/REVIT team at all stages of design.
- Develop facility room layout concepts to support client process and workflow needs and safety.
- Research, create, and update relevant product and system specifications to meet technical needs of the client.
- Monitor and coordinate interdisciplinary work for compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, best engineering practices, and AMTS standards.
- Construction administration including RFI and submittal responses, site visits, punch lists, and coordination with inspectors.
- Travel may be required, typically up to 25%, including international and domestic travel.
- Knowledge of and 10+ years’ experience with engineering design in electrical engineering.
- Cleanroom or laboratory design experience.
- Writing skills required:
English language specification writing, reports, and memoranda. - US citizenship or permanent residency required.
- Tool install design experience is a plus.
- Open to new challenges that new engineering and technical projects will require; flexible and able to work on multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
- Action-oriented and results oriented; succinct and data-driven verbal and written communication is a must.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering discipline.
- Active Professional Engineer license in Electrical Engineering discipline.
- Computer skills required:
Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, Bluebeam. Must be proficient in Excel. - Experience with Pipe-FLO or equivalent software is a plus for mechanical or chemical engineering projects.
- Experience with SKM, ETAP or equivalent software is a must for electrical engineering.
