Controls Programmer – Phoenix, AZ

Responsibilities- Design and program building automation systems (BAS), implementing controls design and standards.
- Lead software design, database creation, and sequence of operation development for projects.
- Create project submittals, interpret specifications and MEP drawings, and construct controls and shop drawings.
- Document and track project completion with as‑built and final program notation, including field changes.
- Assemble operation & maintenance manuals for completed projects.
- Design graphic function blocks using company or customer standard programs.
- Test and verify project programs meet specified sequences and industry standards.
- Inspect HVAC systems, determine operating ranges, and perform functional system checkouts.
- Conduct graphics engineering functions, creating equipment and floor‑plan graphics per documents.
- Submit material orders for required components and assist fieldwork with controllers.
- Develop functional checkpoints lists for commissioning and collaborate with Commissioning Agents.
- Associate’s degree.
- 4+ years of experience in building automation systems controls programming.
- BA/BS Engineering degree with 2–3+ years relevant experience, or MA/MS Engineering degree with 0–1+ years.
- Knowledge of computer setup procedures and networking systems.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Carrier i‑Vu, Tridium, or BACnet systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of DDC control theory and HVAC/control applications, and prior HVAC experience.
Pay Range: $79,000.00 – $ annually, based on skills, education and experience.
