About the Opportunity

A growing multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Project Engineer to join its Civil/Site Development team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, and mission-critical developments, including large-scale site and infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in site design, grading, drainage, utility coordination, permitting, and project delivery efforts while working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of civil engineering or land development experience.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure preferred.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility design, and land development projects.
  • Working knowledge of municipal permitting, entitlement, and development processes.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
  • Review zoning ordinances, development regulations, and agency requirements to identify site development constraints.
  • Conduct due diligence activities, including utility research, regulatory reviews, and site investigations.
  • Prepare conceptual site plans and development layouts based on project objectives.
  • Design stormwater management and drainage systems using Civil 3D and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software.
  • Perform drainage calculations, runoff analysis, pipe sizing, and hydraulic evaluations.
  • Develop grading plans and earthwork analyses to optimize site performance and constructability.
  • Prepare subdivision layouts, site plans, and utility infrastructure designs.
  • Coordinate water, sewer, storm drainage, dry utilities, and related improvements.
  • Develop erosion and sediment control plans and supporting calculations.
  • Assist with construction cost estimates and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project execution and team success.
