Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Technician at our Chandler, AZ location.

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team. In this role, you will test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic and mechanical products, applying principles of electronics, electrical circuitry, and testing. You will work under limited supervision and contribute to the success of our production and quality standards.
Electronics Technician Responsibilities:- Test and troubleshoot electronic/mechanical units using blueprints, schematics, and engineering instructions.
- Create detailed non-conformance reports and perform root cause investigations.
- Calibrate and adjust units using mathematical calculations for voltage, resistance, current, and more.
- Conduct automated and manual testing using specialized equipment (e.g., vibe, burn-in, thermal cycle).
- Troubleshoot production failures down to the component level.
- Cross-train less experienced technicians and take a leadership role in the value stream.
- Maintain system logs and documentation for testing and equipment operation.
- Support Crane Business System (CBS) initiatives, including 5S, KPI's, and problem-solving.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Experience: 3-5 years in a related field or equivalent educational experience.
- Education: AA degree in Electronic or Mechanical Technology or equivalent knowledge through experience.
- Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software, including MRP and PDM systems.
- Manual dexterity and ability to perform precise movements.
- Knowledge:
- Familiarity with manufacturing or repair environments.
- Understanding of circuitry, mechanical characteristics, and product flow.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
- Practical application of engineering electronics and technology principles.
- Familiarity with circuit boards, processors, and computer hardware/software.
- Manufacturing environment requiring safety equipment (e.g., safety glasses, masks, hearing protection).
- May involve exposure to loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust, or fumes.
- Physical requirements:
- Standing: 20%, Sitting: 80% (approximate).
- Lifting:
Up to 35 lbs, Pushing:
Up to 100 lbs. - Use of microscopes and computers in a clean bench workspace.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. Additionally, as a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
