- Minimum 5+ years of related engineering technician, civil design, or drafting experience
- Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley Micro Station
- Experience supporting site development, water, industrial water, or infrastructure projects
- Diploma or Certificate required
- Associate Degree in Drafting, Engineering Design Technology, or related field preferred
- Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Phoenix, AZ
Seeking a Staff Engineering Technician to support multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering critical infrastructure, water, and industrial water projects. This role is responsible for developing and modifying engineering deliverables, site development plans, and technical documentation while applying established engineering and design practices. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD design experience and the ability to contribute to complex civil infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities- Develop and modify technical engineering deliverables under general supervision
- Create and maintain site development plans using Civil 3D, Micro Station, and other digital design tools
- Prepare technical documentation, drawings, models, and project deliverables
- Apply engineering standards, codes, quality procedures, and document control requirements
- Review project requirements and ensure deliverables meet project specifications
- Perform design calculations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, and supporting documentation
- Review design inputs for consistency and compliance with applicable standards and codes
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams to exchange project information and support project development
- Support quality assurance, continuous improvement, and change management initiatives
- Provide technical guidance and support to other engineering professionals and technicians
- Assist with scheduling, work assignments, and deliverable reviews as needed
- Support field activities and startup efforts when required
- Stay current on emerging technologies, design tools, and industry best practices
- Civil design and drafting experience
- Autodesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley Micro Station
- CAD/BIM/3D modeling software proficiency
- Knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and quality processes
- Strong technical documentation and drawing production skills
- Ability to review and interpret design inputs and project requirements
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Technology
- Experience with water, industrial water, municipal, or infrastructure projects
- Experience reviewing technical deliverables and mentoring junior team members
