Lucid Motors is looking for a highly motivated Government Regulations & Product Safety Compliance Coordinator to support regulatory, safety, and product release compliance within a fast-paced electric vehicle manufacturing environment. This role serves as the operational bridge between Homologation, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Production, and Product Release teams to ensure applicable government regulatory requirements are properly translated into manufacturing controls and verified before product release.
The Government Regulations & Product Safety Compliance Coordinator will work across the full product lifecycle, from early design and forward-model planning through prototype development, launch, production, and final vehicle release. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory and safety compliance requirements are embedded into manufacturing processes, inspection points, control plans, error-proofing strategies, and release gates.
This position is especially critical in an EV manufacturing environment, where regulatory compliance includes traditional vehicle certification requirements as well as EV-specific controls related to high-voltage safety, electric powertrain integrity, battery-related safety requirements, EV labeling, charging-related information, and product release readiness.
You will drive regulatory and product compliance readiness by developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes, procedures, and verification controls related to government regulatory, safety, and EV product compliance requirements. You will partner closely with Homologation to ensure all applicable regulatory requirements are understood, documented, and translated into manufacturing, inspection, and product release requirements. You will establish and maintain government regulatory compliance checklists by model, market, destination, product configuration, and EV-specific regulatory requirement.
You will verify that required regulatory and certification elements are included and controlled within production processes, including certification labels, tire and loading labels, Monroney/window stickers, EPA Fuel Economy & Environment labels applicable to EVs, VIN accuracy, market-specific regulatory content, and destination/export-specific regulatory requirements. You will support compliance readiness for EV-specific regulatory and safety elements, including high-voltage safety, electric powertrain integrity, battery-related safety controls, electrical isolation, charge-related interfaces, and emergency response information, as applicable.
You will coordinate and perform surveillance audits of production processes based on safety, regulatory, homologation, EV compliance, and product release risk. You will audit and verify process controls for safety, government regulatory, and significant product/process characteristics, including critical torques, restraint-related processes, high-voltage component…
