Spirit Electronics is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to support high-reliability aerospace and defense programs. In this role, you will perform detailed failure analysis on electronic components and assemblies using tools such as SEM, X-ray, and electrical test equipment to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. You will collaborate with quality, test, and supply chain teams, contribute to screening and reliability testing, and prepare clear technical reports for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed failure analysis on high-reliability electronic components for aerospace and defense customers
  • Use analytical tools (e.g., SEM, X-ray, electrical test) to identify root causes of component and assembly failures
  • Document findings in clear technical reports and present recommendations to internal teams and customers
  • Collaborate with quality, test, and supply chain teams to drive corrective and preventive actions
  • Support screening, qualification, and reliability testing activities for mission-critical programs
  • Develop and refine failure analysis procedures, methods, and best practices
  • Interface with suppliers to resolve quality and reliability issues
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records, data, and traceability for all analyzed components
  • Support customer audits, certifications, and compliance with aerospace and defense standards

Required Skills
