Process Engineer

• Provide process design support through PEA, PFS, FS, conceptual design, front-end engineering, and detailed design phases
• Perform studies into operational site improvements and modifications
• Develop, improve, and promote effective use of operations systems including JDE, SPRS, Synergy, Aconex, SMS, and Dochub
• Troubleshoot and resolve process issues
• Develop process flow sheets and prepare process design criteria
• Prepare process calculations, PFDs, heat and material balances, and P&IDs
• Size process equipment and develop specifications
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Stay up to date with mining processing technology and recommend new equipment or processes
• Support Sedgman’s design and engineering team in delivering high-quality projects to clients
• Participate in calculations, drawings, reviews, reports, modelling, and client support activities
• Perform additional duties as required

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mineral Processing, Metallurgy or Chemical Disciplines)
• 2–5 years of work experience; process design experience preferred
• Must be eligible to register with the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration to obtain the Professional Engineer licensing (P.E.)
• Knowledge of process engineering, equipment, and technologies
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Proven ability to work as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Must be able to travel to mine sites, which may include some secondments
• Must be eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship

Demonstrates expertise in process design, including the development of process flow sheets, calculations, and specifications, while effectively utilizing operations systems such as JDE and Aconex. Strong problem-solving abilities and teamwork skills are essential for delivering high-quality engineering projects in the mining sector.
