As a
Generation Engineering Intern
, you'll gain hands-on, project-based experience designed to immerse you in real-world engineering challenges within the power generation industry. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll contribute to initiatives that support operational efficiency, system reliability, and sustainability across non-nuclear generation facilities.

• Analyze engineering data and help identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and operational outcomes.
• Apply engineering principles to solve practical challenges in a power generation environment.
• Visit and work at generation sites to gain a deeper understanding of power plant operations and engineering systems.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to support initiatives.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in engineering.
• Demonstrated academic achievement and commitment to learning and professional growth.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with others and contribute to team-based projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Preferred: GPA of 3.0 or higher.

This paid, temporary full-time internship spans 10 weeks during the summer. Interns receive mentorship, professional development, opportunities for site visits, networking, and more.

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Must show ongoing achievement in areas of study and training.

• 3.0 GPA or higher.

This position may require access to and/or use of information subject to control under the Department of Energy's Part 810 Regulations (10 CFR Part 810), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) (15 CFR Parts 730 through 774), or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter M Part 120) (collectively, 'U.S. Export Control Laws').
