Position OverviewWe are seeking a Pipe Stress Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to support projects involving state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities. This role will work as part of a highly interactive, multi-discipline engineering team responsible for the design and development of equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong pipe stress analysis experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a client‑site environment.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience
- Proficiency with pipe stress analysis software, including:
- AutoPIPE
- CAESAR II
- Ability and willingness to work onsite at the client job site a minimum of 2 days per week
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and multi-discipline engineering teams
- Experience working in construction environments
- Experience performing field verifications
- Working knowledge of plastic pipe design and analysis
- Working knowledge of design and coordination tools, including:
- Navisworks
- AutoCAD
- Perform pipe stress analysis and engineering for commercial and industrial projects
- Support the design and development of piping systems, equipment, facilities, and related components
- Ensure technical quality and adherence to project requirements
- Manage assigned engineering tasks while maintaining project schedule and technical quality
- Develop familiarity with client expectations, project scope, budget, and schedule
- Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines on highly interactive project teams
- Participate in field activities and site verifications as required
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other onsite personnel
The successful candidate will contribute to challenging engineering projects, including state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities
. The position requires someone who is comfortable working directly with clients and other project stakeholders in an onsite construction/project environment.
- Minimum 2 days/week onsite at the client job site is required.
- Strong communication skills are essential for successfully working with clients, contractors, and other personnel onsite.
- Candidates should be comfortable balancing technical engineering responsibilities with field/site interaction.
